Chairman of the Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman would chair the meeting of Sindh Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee at Pakistan Meteorological Department building, Main University Road, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi, whereas, the other members of the committee would join the meetings of their respective provincial/district Ruet-e-Hilal Committees.

The meeting will be arranged at the Meteorological Complex in Karachi on Sunday evening. The meeting will be supervised by Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman, the committee’s chairman. Zonal committee meetings will also organize in Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar.

The result on the start date for the holy month will be reserved after evidences are established from all over the country.

The holy month of Ramzan is expected to begin in Pakistan from Monday 6th May this year 2019 and Eid al-Fitr will be held on June 06,2019.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting. This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The month lasts 29–30 days based on the visual sightings of the crescent moon.

Ramadan ends when the first crescent of the new moon is sighted again. Eid Al Fitr is the Islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadan.

In Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries, many countries of the world did not see the moon of Ramadan, after which there will be the first fasting on Thursday. The Supreme Council has declared it regularly.
